The APO are putting on a concert filled with gorgeous works including saxophone(s).
piano soloist Ewa Kupiec
Milhaud La Création du Monde
Bernstein On the waterfront: Symphonic Suite
Rachmaninov Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, op. 43
Gershwin An American in Paris
The Rachmaninov is the only work which doesn't use saxophone in this programme. Gershwin's American in Paris uses 3, and exploits the jazzy side of the saxophone, while Milhaud's glorious creation puts saxophone forward as a soloist for nearly the entire work.
